Such initiatives will further simplify access to financial resources
and investment opportunities for European entrepreneurs and make
transparent and equally accessible digital resources.
The EU makes significant financial injections in support to
comparatively underdeveloped regions of the Union which demonstrate
insufficient performance in employment, investments and sustainable
development, etc. For this purpose, the multi-million structural and
investment funds are available for such regions. 135
The EU ensures the stability of its currency, EUR. Some 330
million citizens of the Union (EUR is the sole currency in 19 member
states) use EUR in their daily activities and commercial interactions.
EUR significantly simplified procedures for the circulation of financial
resources, thus economizing some EUR 30 billion in conversion fees for
various national currencies.

The EU pays special attention to farmers and agriculture workers.
The main goal of the EU common agriculture policy is to meet the
needs of millions of EU citizens. Some 47% of the total EU territory is
classified as farm-land while almost 30% is forest. More than 40% of
the EU budget is allocated to the development of the agricultural sector
and direct financial support of European farmers. 136
The EU maintains high-level standards for food security and
environmental protection. The relevant EU structures instantly react in
response to the distribution of contaminated food and environmental
safety violations.
Every EU consumer is treated equally, enjoys equal protection and
rights, including the right to return purchases made online or through
other types of distance services as well as receiving a travel refund
