                The European Court of Justice is composed of 27 judges - one from
            each EU member state. The court discusses:
                - Disputes between EU institutions (for example, if the EU
                    Commission believes that a decision of the EU Council is
                    against any EU law);
                - Disputes between an EU institution and an EU member state/
                    states (EU members believe that the provisions of EU treaties
                    have been violated);
                - Dispute between the European Commission and a member
                    state (in the case if the Commission thinks that that state is
                    in violation of an EU law).

                The General Court consists of 54 judges and takes cases of
            European companies and individuals against EU institutions as well as
            disputes which EU members may have with the Commission and the
            European Central Bank.
                Besides the two branches of the Court of Justice of the European
            Union, the European Civil Service Tribunal of seven judges examines
            cases of civil servants who work in EU institutions.
