EUROPEAN LAW AND GOVERNANCE SCHOOL – EPLO UNIVERSITY

The European Public Law Organization (EPLO) created a higher education institution under the name of “European Law and Governance School” (ELGS) in 2013. On May 18, 2016 the Schools’ programs were announced at the Quirinale Palace of Italy in the presence of H.E. The President of the Republic of Italy Mr. Sergio Mattarella.
the Vision of the ELGS, in the first place, is to create a generation of youth that will identify themselves as Europeans, that will serve Europe, and that will disseminate the idea, culture and values of Europe throughout the world. Moreover, the vision of the ELGS is to educate a generation of youth all over the world who is interested in European Law & Governance and will thus prepare themselves to serve their nations in the better understanding Europe, doing business with Europe and promoting their national interests within the Brussels context. This way the ELGS serves a Global Objective in Education.

DEGREE RECOGNITION

ELGS DEGREES OFFERED IN GEORGIA

– As the ELGS is based in Italy, titles of study offered by the EPLO/ELGS are recognized by the Italian Republic as equivalent to the titles offered by the Italian Universities (Gazzetta Ufficiale, Decreto 27 Febbraio 2023, art.1-2; check the link here )

– As of November 1, 2024, degrees from EPLO-affiliated institutions (ELGS), are recognized in Georgia as equivalent to those from Georgian higher education institutions (Georgia’s Legislative Herald “Matsne” – check the link here ).

– Art. 76 of Law 4310/2014 par.8 (amending Art. 4 of Law 3328/2005), states that higher education degrees issued by International Organizations to which the Greek Republic is a party are equivalent to the degrees delivered by the Greek public higher education institutions (check the link here ).

– Art. 32 of Law 5128/2024 states that Masters degrees offered by the EPLO/ELGS in Greece and accredited by the Hellenic Authority for Higher Education are recognized as equivalent to the titles of studies provided by the Greek universities (art.32 L.5128/2024 Gaz. 118/A/30.07.2024; check the link here )
